Time to leave already. The previous night I asked about the free shuttle the hotel has for the airport. The staff member just says to come down fifteen minutes before you want to leave in the morning. So we do that only to find out you have to register your name against a time and the one we want is now full - good job by the two staff members working the previous night. So I had to ask for a taxi to the airport instead, but lucky it's not far. I got in the taxi and said I was going to New York when the driver asked. He said New York New York? and I replied with something like uh yeah, at the airport. Then he said Oh, you want to go the airport. A few minutes later I realised he first thought it to be New York New York the hotel, but who gets in a taxi with all their luggage at 6AM, to go from one hotel to another?
Didn't land in NYC until late, due to the change in time zone. As a side note, one of the very few things I do enjoy about the airport is seeing people trying to take their heavy luggage off the conveyor belt, only to almost end up getting carried away themselves. When you're spending hours and hours going in and out of airports, you need to find something for entertainment.
Took the train across from Long Island City to Manhattan and stopped off at a Nintendo World store near Rockefeller Plaza. There wasn't much to it really, just some merchandise and lots of DS stuff on sale. Also stopped in at Times Square (I think Shibuya is better) before heading home to watch MNF.
