Took the train down to a remote region of South Chicago to get to the Nike Factory Outlet store, a great place to shop. The area was definitely more "suburban" than downtown, to say the least. It was also freezing cold while walking the streets - but still not really windy. I was desperate for some shoes that would give me a bit more comfort than the Nike Free, I ended up buying two pairs of shoes, including some cool casual Jordans for $40. A good tip, don't buy two pairs of shoes if you like to have space in your luggage. The clothing range was a little bit disappointing, just got one jumper.
Back in Chicago we went to the Original Pancake House, which I think is a smaller chain that has since been overshadowed by IHOP (International House Of Pancake). I still don't know why I ordered Strawberry Crepes, but they weren't anything special. Jason got some apple pancake monstrosity which looked much better, if only I liked baked apple, which I do not.

With the time remaining in the day I explored some of State Avenue, The Loop and Theatre District south of the river. Some of the architecture is very reminiscent of The Dark Knight film.
