Had a good period of running come to an end at the worst possible time a week before Gold Coast marathon, so missed out on the race. I saw a podiatrist a couple of times and was able to rule out a major problem like a stress fracture, but it has still been intermittently sore for the whole month. I managed to walk the Surfers Paradise parkrun, but obviously missed out on a top ten.
I got back into running after a couple of weeks but probably lost a bit of speed. I was good enough to enter the Run Melbourne 10km at least, my time wasn't great, but good enough given the circumstances and the challenging course - being in the priority group helped.
No biking.
Nothing much happening in shares, made one extra purchase but a little worried about the prices going up so much at the moment.
The Tour De France was quite average again this year, a whole hour of highlight from SBS was a bit much to get through each night too. I went to two AFL games for the month - Gold Coast vs. Richmond (Gold Coast) and Carlton vs. Adelaide (MCG).
A lot of half complete things in the to do list:
- Car
- Supposed to be a goal for 2019 but haven't decided yet
- Ford Focus RS is good but only manual
- Mitsubishi Lancer stopped production, and possibly a bit outdated
- Subaru Impreza and WRX are a bit more expensive also
- Gold Coast report finished
- Half Year report not finished - too late now
- Holiday
- Should be safe to start planning now...
- Resume updated again - also have to do Linked In
Just finishing up a project at work. It looks like I'll have a couple of weeks to fill, then on a project until the end of the year where I should be able to plan a holiday somewhere.
