December Review

This is the December review, I'll do a complete 2015 and 2016 post some time later, as well as a more detailed Christmas break post.

No baking for the month again, part of the trying to eat healthier and not losing any weight program I'm on - not recommended. I'll get going again in January I think, since I collected up all my recipes and got them in order.

My running training was going well at the beginning of the month, with some quite encouraging speed, I even got to challenge myself on a few days that were well above thirty degrees. Around December 20 a nagging shin pain became significantly worse and I haven't been able to run at all since - more news on that later as I'm still getting in diagnosed at the moment, but it's not looking good, I can only hope it is not too serious and requires weeks to recover than months.

I finally have some good news in the share market to end the month and year, I made one great investment in a milk company that has more than doubled in value, so that has erased all of my losses since April. I've got a little bit of money saved up so I might make another investment soon, but I will at least wait until I find out if I need expensive surgery first...

Nothing much has been happening in sports, the Boxing Day public holiday was on during week 16 of the NFL so I was looking forward to watching some good games during the day, but most of the playoff spots were already decided so it was a big letdown.

The to do list is becoming a bit empty, so I either need to take on some difficult tasks that have been hanging around forever, or repopulate it. I finished my Christmas holiday planning of course, and it will probably be a while before I need to plan the next one - some running weekends might need to be cancelled too.

At work I was seriously overloaded for the month trying to get some projects done before the shut down period, and a few people were on leave which didn't help. I managed to bank a few hours of extra leave credits with some weekend work, so that will come in useful when the Australia Day weekend and NFL super bowl comes along.

That's it for now, since I'll leave the rest for the Christmas report. Here's the summary which I still haven't come up with a good name for:
