September Review

Back to a normal month this time.

Back to a normal running month too, with a collection of parkruns stuck around 18 minutes, although with various wet and windy conditions. One more volunteer role too, but it will take a long time to get to the next milestone at fifty. Also competed in the second year of the Run Prix 10 kilometre race, this time it was quite windy in the north direction for 2 kilometres of each lap. I thought it would do better than last year and felt good throughout the race, but ended up about five seconds slower.

A quiet month of shares with a drop in US technology companies having an impact to the market in general, plus I have a few of those companies now since I've expanded to a few USA shares. I had the chance to participate in a capital raising for a company I already had shares in, but didn't even get 20% of what I paid for. It's quite annoying like usual to miss out, then the rest of the money takes weeks to be refunded.

Both the English Premier League and NFL are going now for weekly highlights, possibly next year I'll get to see some live games again during a late winter holiday. Meanwhile the AFL concluded with a one-sided grand final I was lucky to win a ticket for. This is the list of grand finals I've won in the ballot:

I've been collecting posters from each of the finals I've been to as well, initially I was picking up the paper ones after the game but I've ordered the better laminated ones since 2018. Sadly they don't sell the old ones laminated anymore.

The to do list is quiet again:

• Holidays
• Hawaii report done
• Singapore and Vietnam in December, still have a while to plan
• Christmas or New Year undecided
• Extra parkrun days are on Wednesday, so can't really combine a holiday with two parkruns
• Running Holidays
• Not many races anywhere in summer
• Have to start planning the first half of next year soon, particularly with travel
• Tax return
• Leaving until the last minute to delay however much I have to pay this year

A bit of team downsizing happening at work but no impact for me any time soon, and I still haven't started on any exams.
