January Review

A bit late since I was waiting to do the 2019 goals first.

Got through another month of running. Started with a sore quad right before the new years day parkrun double (Westerfolds and Diamond Creek) so couldn't race those, but had no problems afterwards. Also added one new parkrun at Mernda and a new long run route past Braeside Park.

Also had one race, the first for a while. The third time I've race the Rosebud Australia Day 10km, finished with the usual time around 39 minutes which was just better than the first time in 2017, but it was quite a warm day.

No biking.

Saw some recovery in shares at last, now back to about even since the beginning of 2018!

Subscribed for another 12 months of Foxtel, don't watch it heaps but recording a few things is convenient enough. Otherwise not much in sports other than the NFL superbowl coming up in early February - technically it's already happened but this is a January review...

Got a few blog things done from the to do list but not much else:

Getting a bit closer to the end at work, extended again for February at least...

2019 Goals

About time to get this done, since it only takes about 15 minutes.

      • 5km - try to get 18:00
      • 10km - try to get 37:30, didn't get close last year
      • 21km - try to get a PB and do two races

      • Parkrun - 10 new events
      • Travel - 1 international event at least, and 2 interstate
      • Triathlon - Seems more likely for summer 2020 at the earliest

      • Get to 70kg

    • Not sure, whatever helps maintain 70kg

    • Try to use up about 4 weeks leave, one small and one larger international holiday

    • A bit more possible this year, needs more thought
