July Review

It's the July review. All the photos I uploaded are now 'third party' link blocked which is a really annoying policy change since it allowed for several years. So I'll need to figure out a new host or process now.

Running has gotten a little bit better I suppose, still various setbacks with this ankle injury but have got weekly distances up a bit.
  • Lilydale Lake park run - about 19 minutes
  • Wilson Botanic park run - 20 minutes but less than 5km distance, big hills!
  • Sri Chinmoy Princes Park 10km race
    • Dead after the first 5km once again
    • Hills and wind increased on the second lap
    • About 40:15
  • Berwick Springs park run - 19:20 slow but very high winds

Haven't had much money for shares so instead I kept myself occupied by selling and buying. I've had lots of good prospects on my watch list that I missed out on, I probably conveniently forgot about avoiding a few disasters too. Just about every time I sell the price goes straight up afterwards, that's a guarantee.

Went to my second AFL game for the year as Carlton played Melbourne again. Much like the previous time it was close enough but Melbourne always looked like winning eventually. Also worked through an hour of highlights of the Tour De France for most of the month. Although Froome lost the lead for a couple of days it didn't look like he would lose overall and most of the stages were predictable. At least an Australian won the green jersey again.

Carlton vs. Melbourne

The to do list needs a bit of a refresh, it's very stale and repetitive which defeats the purpose:
  • Holiday
    • Same thing every month, haven't worked out a good time with work
    • Queenstown hotels looking very expensive on marathon weekend, might need to switch...
  • Houses
    • I did a bit of research of house prices in each possible suburb
    • The summary, don't think about buying in the Eastern suburbs

So work is still looking like going through to next year, bits of new work just come along as I'm about to run out, so I guess that's good but I'd like a bit more opportunity to have spare time to research some new technology for whatever project comes next.

That's if for this month:
