No baking again.
Finally some progress with my running, it seems like I can now manage four or five sessions a week, less than ten kilometres each still but with a couple of fast runs included. I still have a bit of leg pain during running and at various other times during the day too, but it seems to be about 75% improved. I also entered my first race for the year, the Sri Chinmoy 10km at Albert Park. I had only raced casual 5km distances at park runs as preparation so I didn't think I'd be able to maintain a fast pace, but only just missed out on average a consistent 4:00/km.

My shares performed about the same again, my milk shares were steadily dropping then had one big day to end up back where they started. I had the option to buy some additional shares through a fund raising offer which came at a nice discount of about 20% off market value. I think there may be some uncertain times ahead with this Britain exit though, but it seems like there's always something to worry about.
The NBA finals came to an end, and thankfully Cleveland pulled off an improbably comeback from 3-1 down to win the finals. I don't really like LeBron James but he's much better than the collective Golden State team. In the NBA Draft the Oklahoma City management finally made a big move, probably several years too late. I'm not sure if Oladipo, Roberson and Waiters all playing shooting guard is a perfect situation though, but it's an improvement on what they had before.
The Euro 2016 qualification round has completed too, it was good to have some soccer highlights each day but overall the matches were pretty unimpressive and low scoring, possibly caused by expanding the competition from sixteen to twenty four teams and thereby diluting the quality. I qualified for a free year of EPL from Optus, but I doubt I will even use it unless they have some kind of highlights show, even then I'd probably prefer to watch Match Of The Day. Now I need to remember to cancel that subscription a year from now.
I got a few things moving on the to do list:
- Holiday
- Sadly put on hold due to job applications
- I think I might miss out on a proper winter break regardless of the outcome which is very disappointing
- Jobs
- I applied for two jobs that sounded interesting
- So far two interviews for one and an agency interview for the other, but they are taking a long time to progress beyond that
- Monitor
- I got a new Samsung 27 inch for my home desktop computer
- I was going to get the curved screen model but the reviews said the base was unstable
- NAB bank account
- Because stupid ANZ have no coin machines in branches anywhere!
- Now I have ANZ, Bank Of Melbourne, NAB and UBank, mostly idle
At work we had another restructure, a little bigger than the previous one but mostly impacting managers and a bit of team rearrangement. I'm not sure if it's good or bad timing giving I just started looking for work.
