November Review

This is the November review, now with a new page template!

I only completed one baking recipe for the month, and that was the first since the end of July too. I will probably get back to doing a few more, but my recipe list is a big mess at the moment.

The month in running wasn't too bad, including the Bendigo Bank 10km where I finished 7th in 38:47, but I really died on the second lap. I got back into some interval training, one of the most strenuous types of exercise possible. I don't do it very often as I don't want to risk injuries, and it's hard to have maximum energy during a work day to complete it properly.

Castlemaine, on the way to Bendigo.

Bendigo.

Somehow 2nd place in the age categories.

At the City2Sea 15km I tried a slightly different strategy by starting out slightly slower than usual, but it didn't really allow me to finish any stronger at the end, I was still struggling by about 13km although there was a lot of head wind that day. I ended in 67th place with 56:55, about a minute better than the previous year.

Besides that there was just a couple of park runs in between, in the final week I set a pretty surprising new best time of 18:14 for 5km, which even includes a couple of steep hills.

Another rocky ride on the sharemarket, after a big week I was all the way back to only being 3% down, then one of my companies dived to the point they're worth like 20% of what I paid for them. I picked up another company during the month which offset most of that loss though, but it seems like I'm never going to get back into positive territory...

On the way back from Bendigo during Melbourne Cup weekend we stopped in at the NBL match between Melbourne United and Sydney Kings. Once again Josh Childress was injured, but Al Harrington was a guest player on a short term contract, his input was pretty disappointing and the Kings lost badly.

NBL.

The to do list didn't see much action again.
